We are currently recruiting for the following position:

Proven Seed Summer Agronomy Assistant Winnipeg (or area), Manitoba


Main Responsibilities:

Field trial support:


  • Assisting in ensuring the 2017 Proven Seed Field Performance Check program is implemented successfully in the Manitoba and East Saskatchewan geography.
  • Working with local CPS retails, Managers of Agronomic Services and the Proven Agronomy Lead to ensure that trials are managed for maximum impact including:
    • Confirm that the producer and CPS retail are aware of expectations for trials results.
    • Manage relevant administration with respect to field trials.
    • Supporting trial establishment and seeding.
    • Scouting and assessment during the season.
    • Field signing and ensuring maintenance for tour season.
    • Collection of harvest results (pending on season).

Training & Development:


  • Support CPS Innovation tours
  • Working with CPS divisional leaders & Proven Seed management to support the 2017 Innovation Tours.
  • Collaborate with CPS Research, Development & Innovation to assist in the set up and execution of the Rosebank and Watrous Innovation tours.

  • Champion Proven Seed positioning on key hybrids and varieties in corn, soybeans, canola and cereals with CPS retail staff.


Sales & Marketing:


  • Assist in the aggregation, assimilation and distribution of information relative to field trial results.
  • Support CPS retails with Proven Seed summer tours.
  • Aid with organization and execution of Ag In Motion outdoor tradeshow.


  • Read, understand and follow all standard operating procedures, safety policies and training documents relating to the listed duties.
  • Other duties and projects as required.


  • Agriculture, Business or Science Degree student, or Diploma student, or graduate.
  • Demonstrated ability to actively participate in a collaborative environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently.
  • Valid driver's license required; Driving record will be reviewed.
  • Travel required.   


Ability to meet the CPS policy requirements by completing a Criminal Background Check, Drug & Alcohol Testing, and Driving Record Abstract
