Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Fixed Asset Accountant whose primary responsibilities are supporting domestic and international Retail locations with all fixed asset and asset capitalization needs.


Key Tasks:

  • Assist with fixed asset month end close process.
  • Research, verify and create asset addition and retirement documentation.
  • Data entry of all additions while assisting with transfers and retirements into PeopleSoft as necessary.
  • Coding and processing of invoices in OnBase.
  • Analyze and research capital expenditures miscoded to expenses.
  • Collaborate with AP department to work through corrections.
  • Assist in reconciling the asset management system to the general ledger system.
  • Provide fixed asset support for branches via email and phone requests.
  • Review proceeds for asset retirements and code accurately.
  • Assistance with other Fixed Asset duties and special projects as assigned/required.


  • Highly detail oriented.
  • Self-Motivated.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.


  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from a recognized institution.
  • A minimum of 2 years accounting experience is required.
  • Accounting and/or fixed asset experience desired.
  • PeopleSoft experience/background desired.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Advanced Excel skills preferred.
  • Strong customer service attitude; team player; strong desire for knowledge; adaptability.
