Loveland Products Inc., a division of CPS, offers a complete line of high performance crop input products including seed treatment, plant performance, nutritionals, adjuvant and crop protection products. Loveland Products brings new, unique chemistries to the marketplace to provide innovative solutions to problems across the agricultural and professional non-crop industries.

 

Position:              Logistics Analyst

Reports To:         Director of Supply Chain, Loveland Products, Inc.

Location:             This position is located in the Crop Production Services office in Loveland, CO

 

Position Summary: The Logistic Analyst role is to manage the logistics requirements to include freight procurement and scheduling, document processing and analysis for domestic orders of Loveland Products, Inc. products

 

Key Tasks:

  • Manage the overall procurement, scheduling and dispatching of domestic order shipments from Loveland Products, Inc. production facilities and warehouses or 3rd partly sources to Crop Production Services customers and warehouses.
  • Manage the overall freight spend by Loveland Products, Inc. by balancing service vs cost and utilizing all freight options available for the best cost
  • Track shipments, communicate status changes to customers and enter order information changes into the BPCS system
  • Provide misc. support for all domestic logistics functions as required, including documenting and analyzing freight rates and invoice data and processing shipping documents.
  • Proved support to Domestic Customer Service Representatives on freight related issues including the pooling of multiple Less Than Truckload orders into Truckload orders for freight savings.
  • Communicate with international customers to clarify ship/delivery date expectations regarding order changes such as quantities and availability dates.
  • Monitor and manage the CASS freight payment system for Loveland Products, Inc. to include resolving freight charge discrepancy’s with carriers
  • Manage freight claims with 3rd party carriers

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, agriculture or related field plus 2 years’ experience in logistics, transportation or customer service. Will consider Associate’s degree with proper experience.
  • HazMat Certification desired but not required (training to be provided as needed.)

Skills:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, stay patient and meet deadlines in a challenging environment.
  • Excellent Customer Service (interpersonal communication) skills
  • Effective knowledge of shipping and logistics functions
  • Highly motivated, organized and self-starter,
  • Flexibility in skills and interest with willingness to learn new functions as Loveland Products business needs evolve.
  • Experience with BPCS and TMS (Transportation Management System) systems a plus
  • MS Excel and View Point (data queries) experience a plus
