Reporting to the Mill Maintenance General Foreman, this position will be part of the team responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the work of the Mill Maintenance crew.

The ability to work rotation shift schedule is required.

 

What you will do:

 

  • Plan, organize and direct the work of the maintenance crew
  • Provide effective supervision to ensure assignments are completed in a safe and efficient manner
  • Create work order plans that include time allowances, trades required, and necessary materials
  • Create and maintain asset data including the asset hierarchy, bills of materials, and work plans
  • Manage asset PM schedules
  • Work closely with Maintenance and Operations Departments to develop and advance maintenance workflow activities

 

What you will bring:

 

  • Ability to work rotation shift schedule (12 hours shift - 5 days on, 5 days off, 2 days on, 2 days off) required
  • An interprovincial journeyperson license, technical diploma, or degree in a related discipline is preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills including strong team building and communication skill.
  • Welding and/or Mechanical background will be considered an asset.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with previous supervisory experience.
  • A strong commitment to safety with working knowledge of OH&S, Mine and Environmental regulations
  • Experience in an industrial setting is preferred.
  • Ability to handle a large and varied workload.
